There’s No Limit To Creativity!

I was just reading the May Issue of Adweek, and Steve Aoki was named Adweek’s 2022 Creator Visionary of the Year.  What a great honor, and truly significant for the music industry when it comes to what I like to call “The Marriage Between Madison & Vine”.

As a Creator, you need to be passionate about what you are creating, innovative, courageous, fearless, not afraid of stepping over boundries, and a desire to give your fans an undeniable experience with your creation.  This not only applies to music, but also in business.

As an Artist, you are an entrepreneur, who has their own Brand.  There is nothing more exciting than creating a new song, a video, or show, and having people be amazed by what they just experienced.  That unlimited creativity you possess to deliver content can also be used to grow your Brand and Business.

“I communicate with the world through my passion.  Once I find it, my next step is creating off of it.  It doesn’t matter if it’s musically, in business, in art or in culture.  Whatever it is, I’m going to create, and there will be a Steve Aoki collaboration or creation”.

This creativity and collaboration has led Steve Aoki in 2022 to be named the Chief Music Officer for Orangetheory, a partnership with fashion house Zenga to create a version of the popular Triple Stitch Sneaker, a consultation gig with Lamborghini for the customization for Lamborghini’s Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, the last-ever gas-powered Aventado, and become an Ambassador with the World Poker Tour with a role in the brand’s revamp, timed to its 20th Anniversary Season.

Sure, these collaborations are on a large scale.  But who’s to say that the same process and opportunties could not be achieved on any scale?  Being as creative as you can in everything that you do, and finding the balance between music and business, can lead to that unforgettable experience for your fans and customers.

It doesn’t matter what kind of artist you are, what level you are at in your career, or what kind of business you have.  When it comes to creativity, there is no limit.  And there never should be when it comes to music and business.  You always have to bring new ideas and opportunities to the forefront.  This is the kind of energy that creates success.
