Have you ever sat at your desk at the end of a day and wondered where the time went? I think we all have done that at one point or another.
It doesn’t matter if you are an artist, manager, marketing director, event producer or entrepreneur – time flies and it is a balancing act to get everything done that you need to.
Over the course of the last few months, in just about every conversation I have, the topic of not having enough time and time management always comes up. It is amazing how frustrated people are with this. And with that I decided to do some research on this topic.
Over the past few months, I made the decision of what the next evolution of The Entertainment Sponsorship Group is going to be. I want to help more artists, bands, managers, venue owners, festival and event producers, on a greater scale, learn about Strategic Corporate Sponsorships and how to secure them.
I am in the process of designing the Strategic Sponsorship Academy – an online school with courses on Strategic Corporate Sponsorships, focused on the Music and Entertainment Industry. I will be sharing more about this in the coming weeks.
And part of this new evolution brought me to finally read “The 4-Hour Workweek” by Timothy Ferriss. This is an amazing read that focuses on creating a mobile lifestyle design.
A big part in creating this lifestyle design centers on how to create time by eliminating the information speedway we are all on. Be it unsubscribing to Newsletters that we don’t read or only checking email twice a day at specified times…just to start.
Implementing these processes is tough and takes discipline. There is a value to your time that you need to calculate. How much per hour is your time worth?
In many instances, we don’t have enough time because we spend too much time on things that are not our priority. How many of us check our email as soon as a new one comes in? Or tell ourselves I am just going to quickly check Twitter, and then realize it is 30 minutes later?
It is not so much about managing time but creating time with the processes you put in place, and prioritizing what is most important to get accomplished. And then being Lazer-focused to complete what needs to get done.
You will be amazed by what you can do when you have time. Your life design is important.
Go out and create time for you!
