Are You Brand Ready?

Good Day!  I appreciate you taking the time to check out today’s Blog Post.

I believe it is all about starting the conversation.

And it was in a recent conversation I was having with a manager about their artist’s Strategic Partnership Process when I asked the question, Are You Brand Ready?  There was a pause, and I could sense that no one had ever asked them this question.

This particular question is very important to define as you start putting together your Strategic Plan to secure sponsorships.  And it is a question to me that has two meanings.

As I started to help answer this for the manager, I explained that they needed to have an understanding of the brands that they would like to speak with about a potential sponsorship.

First, what are the important elements for the brand as they determine their objectives to partner with an artist, band or property?  What is important to the brand regarding a music or entertainment centric sponsorship?

Secondly, “Are You Brand Ready”, meaning, are you, the artist, band, property, festival or event, brand ready?  Have you done everything to build your brand, and put yourself in the position to be an attractive partner with a brand for a potential sponsorship?

As I work with clients, this is one of the first steps that needs to be taken care of as you create your Strategic Partnership Plan.  You have to spend time doing your due diligence, and thorough research, on the brands that you feel would be a good partner.

Always remember that this is a partnership, and one that you want to be long-term.  But in order to have a true and successful partnership, there has to be trust, understanding and transparency.

That is accomplished by knowing as much as you can about your potential brand partner and building the relationship with them.  How can you help them achieve their marketing objectives and initiatives?
